I find it unfortunate that I need to provide a poor review f Voir la suite de l’avisor this hotel, but here we are! My wife and I were attending a wedding in the region (mid-August timeframe) and chose this hotel as our accommodation for two very precise reasons; the room was advertised with A/C, and the hotel boasted a restaurant & bar.
Upon arrival, we discovered that the restaurant & bar were closed for annual vacation!! Not a catastrophe in and of itself, but how much effort would it really have taken to inform us prior to arrival? This failing would have been unlikely to initiate a search for alternate accommodation, but a heads-up would have taken some of the irritation out of the situation.
When we were shown to our room, we were informed that the A/C was inoperative! This was a more significant issue for us and would certainly have prompted an alternate search had we known ahead of time. We were told that this situation would not be rectified for two days. It turns out that the situation was not rectified at all! We asked if we could be moved to a different room with functioning A/C but were informed that there were no other rooms available. Since we never encountered another living soul in the hotel for 2 days, we can only assume that no other rooms had functioning A/C! The hotel staff did provide two portable fans in an effort to provide some relief. As we were settling in, the situation was further exacerbated by the note attached to the remote control for the A/C, which read "NE PAS TOUCHER L INTERIEUR PETIT CON". I am happy to share a photograph with Logis Hotels if requested. When we brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, she was suitably embarrassed and apologetic, explaining that the manager had insisted on the notification and had also categorically denied our request for an adjustment in the room rate to compensate for non-functional A/C.
Just to wrap this review up in a nice bow, I would point out that while I find it somewhat normal that staff/tradesmen had to access our room in our absence to service the faulty A/C, I do not find it normal in the slightest that the room door was not re-locked afterwards. Nor do I find it normal in the slightest that someone would enter our room and remove the additional covers and pillows from the closet during our stay, without permission/notification.
So, in summary, the product that we received was neither the product advertised nor the product that we paid for. I find it borderline scandalous that no effort was made by site management to apologize or accommodate in any way, shape or form. A rather basic failing in the hospitality business in my opinion.
I would be highly surprised and actually quite horrified if this is the standard to which Logis Hotels aspire. I'm certain that this is more an anomaly than the norm but it was, nevertheless, our experience!!
