Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Sophie, la propriétaire. Elle nous a donné des indications sur la ville et les restaurants et s'est montrée très disponible. Nous avons passé 3 jours très agréables dans une maison de charme. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est top, près de l'avenue Cartier hyper agréable et des plaines d'Abraham, lieu de balades. Une adresse que nous recommandons ++++

Sophie was wonderful giving us the best room and excellent breakfast. The location was perfect for our trip with restaurants within walking and easy access to Old Quebec City. Highly recommend Le Widor !

This is a small B&B just out of the centre of Quebec City. It is peaceful, but close to a vibrant street with plenty of restaurants and shops. The rooms are very comfortable and the proprietor Sophie is charming and helpful. Breakfasts are delicious and strongly recommended.

Our stay at Le Widor exceeded our expectations. From arrival to checkout we were treated to the utmost hospitality. Highly recommend this as the place to stay when you visit Quebec City. Make sure you enjoy one of Sophie’s delicious breakfasts!

It's ideally located for visitors, close to many shops and restaurants and within easy walking distance of all the popular sights. I highly recommend it!

The location is excellent. You can visit on foot the old part of Quebec city. Good shopping and restaurants nearby. Parks and museum.
The house itself is a little gem with high ceilings, wood flooring and wood moldings throughout. It is very bright with many windows and has a modern touch.
I felt at home immediately and recommend this place highly. As for the proprietor, Sophie, she is very welcoming and helpful.

Sophie is a warm and charming hostess! We were in Quebec City for a week of French school at EduInter, and Le Widor was perfect for us: a 15-minute walk from the school. It is also a block or so from the entrance to the Plains of Abraham - a great place to enjoy a beautiful walk. You are one street away from Cartier Street, which has numerous shops and restaurants. It's also an easy walk to old Quebec City and several excellent restaurants. We were there during a big mid-Feb snowstorm, and Le Widor was a warm and comfy place. We only marked down "room soundproofing" above because Quebec City is very serious about snow plowing, and one night during the storm the plows were very noisy on the street next to Le Widor. Just be aware of this possibility if your visit is in the winter, but stay here anyway!

We would definitely recommend Le Widor for anyone wishing for a lovely getaway to Quebec City. Walking distance to pretty much all the upper town sights! Beautiful old building had a charm of its own. Sophie, our host, was so kind and provided us with local restaurant suggestions. Will stay there again upon our next trip to Quebec City! :)

The location gives perfect access to Vieux Quebec, the Parliament and the Citadel. Good restaurants and grocery stores are nearby.
The rooms are perfect. You will feel like you are staying with a friend.

We had a lovely 3-night stay at Le Widor. The home is charming, everything was very clean, and the location is perfect - very close to the Plains of Abraham Park and within walking distance of Old Quebec. The residential neighborhood is charming and quiet, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance, but not too close to the touristy areas. The breakfasts were very good. Best of all was the proprietor, Sophie, who gave us a map and some suggestions when we checked in and was very warm and personable. We would definitely stay here again the next time we go to Quebec City.

We arrived at The Widor after our 7 day cruise which we thought was just perfect from Boston to Maine to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and more.
Then to land at the most beautiful city yet of Quebec City! The icing on the cake was The Widor. From the welcome, to the farewell, we loved everything about our stay. Sophie was a super host for sure and an excellent touring consultant! Her place was immaculate, pleasing and just perfectly located for all our plans! We highly recommend her and all her staff!

Si vous hésitez encore à l’idée de visiter Québec, foncez-y, c’est vraiment une magnifique surprise, si riche d’histoire et si belle.
Et le charme du Widor rendra certainement votre expérience encore plus belle.
Qu’il s’agisse de l’atmosphère si accueillante de la maison, de la propreté des chambres, de l’espace incroyable qu’elles offrent, mais aussi la situation géographique super intéressante : 3 promenades originales de 20 à 40min vous mèneront au cœur de la vieille ville, chaque expédition a ses surprises à offrir.
Pour profiter au mieux des charmes de la ville, on a pu compter sur Sophie et ses précieux conseils, qu’il s’agisse des restaurants, des visites, ou des promenades, mais aussi son attache particulière pour la ville. Surtout, je tiens à souligner son incroyable gentillesse, nous nous sommes rarement sentis autant “à la maison” qu’au Widor.
C’est très simple : aucun bémol pour ma part, nous avons vraiment tout apprécié.
Nous avons testé le petit déjeuner et l’avons beaucoup apprécié, c’est fait maison et avec amour.
N’hésitez pas un seul instant, coup de foudre assuré !
Pour info nous sommes restés 3 nuits, mais si vous avez une voiture pour papillonner autour de la ville, 5 jours ne sont pas de trop.

Le Widor is a splendid b&b and Sophie is a wonderful host whose advice on what to see and do in Quebec City and where to eat made the visit much more interesting and educational and fun. The location is excellent to walk to the old city, parks, museums and historic sites, and also well served by public transportation if the weather doesn’t cooperate. The breakfast was different each day and delicious every day. I plan to visit again.

Sophie nous a accueilli chaleureusement dès notre arrivée au Widor. Nous avions été agréablement surpris par sa bienveillance et sa gentillesse tout au long du séjour. Ce fut un réel plaisir de recevoir ses informations concernant la visite du vieux-québec et la carte de la ville avec ses différents trajets nous a réellement aidé. D'ailleur si vous avez la chance de prendre le déjeuner avec Sophie, le service est impeccable et la nourriture faites maison est tout simplement délicieuse. Ça permet également de pouvoir jaser de tout et de rien avec Sophie.
Merci encore pour le magnifique séjour sans encombre que nous avions passé en fin de semaine. Je recommande à 100%.

The Widor and interactions with Sophie wre beyond our expectations. We initially selected for location, price. positive reviews and images, and none disappointed. However, what is most memorable is Sophie's cheerful personality, helpful suggestions, and delicious breakfast! The Widor and Sophie are gems!

Sophie is an exceptional hostess, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The early 20th century edifice contains many well-preserved elements characteristic of the time but she has adapted the rooms to include modernly chic comforts. Her three-course, home-cooked breakfast was delicious, especially since in our short stay, we were not motivated to search for cafes (although there are plenty around). Next time we would eat one morning at Le Widor and be more adventurous about trying the neighborhood’s breakfast offerings. We met a lovely couple in the common dining area, who was also staying here, and they also gave us a list of their favorites! Sophie had wonderful dinner and site seeing recommendations, but we were also easily able to explore the city by foot (with the exception of streets closed off for construction). She also had a garage spot for us for a daily fee. We’d love to return and have Le Widor as our home away from home.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The bed was so comfortable, the shower water pressure was excellent, everything was quiet and sparkling clean. The breakfast was fabulous! The hostess is so kind and thoughtful, and gave excellent recommendations for how to spend our time in Quebec City. Staying at Le Widor was a highlight of our trip and we would love to stay again. Highly recommend!

Sophie was the perfect host, providing a concise tour of the B&B when we arrived, and leaving us to enjoy the space. We felt very comfortable about using the common facilities, the security of our room and our parked car, and Sophie was always available if we needed anything or had questions. The location of this B&B is PERFECT, easily walkable to anything you want to see in Quebec City, and very close to excellent coffee, food, snacks, parks, and miles upon miles of clean and safe pedestrian paths.

Everything about the Widor is wonderful. Beautiful and modern inside, but still honoring the "old bones" of the place. We had a wonderful time and our room was so beautiful, with tasteful, interesting art, wonderful bedding, excellent reading lights. We can't wait to come back!

Great location for walking to old Quebec and Place d'Abraham. Sophie is a wonderful hostess and fluently communicates in French and English. Breakfast super value. We have stayed in several B&Bs in Quebec and this is our favorite.

Really enjoyed staying at the location. It was close to the old city. The hotel room was large, open, and friendly. The bathroom looked new and was very clean.
There was use of a large kitchen, a dinning area and a lovely patio. It was a most welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic B&B owned by the very pleasant Sophie. I would recommend to anyone going to Quebec, beautiful area and close to all that Quebec has to offfer. We absolutely loved our stay at Le Widor. Sophie is a perfect host, attending to our needs & requests and very responsive. Québec city just over 20 minutes walking away.
The outdoor deck and shared living/kitchen were ideal to relax after a day of walking around Québec. If you want to take it easy rue Cartier is just around the corner catering for anything from breakfast to dinner, or the groceries if you want to do some homecooking.
This place comes highly recommended!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Widor avec un accueil très chaleureux de Sophie, très à l’écoute de ses invités, une grande chambre familiale confortable, une cuisine partagée avec les autres hôtes pour les repas et un excellent petit-déjeuner fait maison. L’emplacement est parfait, à quelques minutes des plaines d’Abraham et à une vingtaine de minutes à pied du vieux Québec. Nous recommandons à 100%.

It was an absolute pleasure staying Le Widor. Sophie was a wonderful and caring host and made me feel right at home. The whole house is immaculately clean, my room was just perfect. I would love the opportunity to stay here again. I highly recommend staying here if you get a chance it is well worth it.

Le Widor was a happy surprise as we wanted a small B&B near the cruise terminals. The host, Sophie, was lovely, attentive, interesting, and fun to visit with, and her guest rooms were nicely done in a lovely old home and safe neighborhood with a fun area of shops and cafes just around the block, and a nice walk to old Quebec. Guests have access to an upstairs kitchen and dining area with a small outdoor deck. We would go back again; but keep in mind guest rooms are second floor walk-up with luggage.

Un super séjour pour nous. Tout était parfait : la chambre avec un lit gigantesque, la salle de bains, les pièces communes partagées, l’emplacement et surtout l’accueil de Sophie. On s’est senti comme à la maison. On peut même faire une lessive.

Earlier this year, in preparation for our several week trip to Canada, we came across your wonderful B&B.
Quebec was our second stop on the trip and we were really looking forward to this city and our accommodation. We received such a warm welcome, although we arrived at your place earlier than expected. The room so spacious and tasteful, great bathroom - so nice. We spent two beautiful days in Québec and often think back to your great "Bijou". You have renovated everything so stylish and beautiful. I was very impressed by your big kitchen where you served us a great breakfast. You are a great host! We are very happy to recommend your B&B Le Widor.

Nous avons réservé un WE en famille à Québec. Notre séjour chez Sophie s’est passé à merveille. Nous recommandons fortement ce logement. La chambre était magnifique, spacieuse, literie très confortable, belle salle de bain et très bien équipée.
La pièce commune est un plus (surtout pour passer une soirée relax pendant que le bébé dort dans la chambre). Le petit déjeuner, avec les mets faits maison, était délicieux.

Le Widor is a lov ely place to stay when visiting Quebec City. It is a short walk, about 20-25 minutes, to the Chateau Frontenac. There are many places to eat or have drinks along the Grande Allee. Sophie also recommended the Avenue Cartier, right next to Le Widor as a place to find all sorts of good things, and we did. Sophie was most gracious, willing to help out in any way. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The room and adjoining sitting area and kitchen are great to have. We loved the huge bathroom and shower and the bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was welcome as it was humid during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Notre séjour au Widor fût impeccable: l'accueil chaleureux et sans tracas; l'hôtel et notre chambres propres, tranquilles, et offrant un très bon confort; les petits-déjeuners excellents. L'emplacement est très pratique.

Sophie la propriétaire est toujours aussi accueillante. Il s’agit de mon 2e séjour au Widor et le bnb est ce bien situé, facile d’accès, très agréable et convivial. J’y reviendrai assurément et je le recommande à tous.

My friend and I love to visit Quebec City every few years. Our room at Le Widor was large and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we found that the area was nice and quiet for sleeping. The location is excellent as it’s very close to bars, restaurants and nice stores (on Ave. Cartier) and it’s a very easy walking distance to the Musée Nationale Des Beaux-Arts du Québec as well as the Plains of Abraham. We even walked to Old Quebec with ease (20 minutes).
The hostess Sophie was very kind and friendly. Her breakfasts are a delicious way to start the day in the lovely 2nd floor kitchen/dinning room.
We will certainly be repeats customers as we have found our little gem in Quebec City.

Un super « petit » hôtel ! Un accueil très chaleureux, on se sent bien dès le début, comme à la maison. On recommande à 200%, on peut y aller les yeux fermés !
Possible de se faire à manger soit même le midi et le soir, on conseil le petit déjeuner le matin !

Je recommande sans hésitation cette auberge aménagée avec goût et très bien située. L’hôtesse contribue grandement à l’appréciation du séjour par son bel accueil, disponibilité et son soucis de bien faire. Le déjeuner maison est délicieux ainsi que le café. Bref, un 5/5.

Nous avons passé un très agréable week-end au Widor, idéalement placé, très proche du musée des beaux arts, des plaines d’Abraham et du vieux Quebec. Un établissement très confortable et chaleureux.

Notre premier séjour au Widor s’est révélé être une expérience bien au delà de nos expectations. Accueil chaleureux,disponibilité de Sophie pour info concernant la région et ses recommendations ont très appréciés. Les petits déjeuners de Sophie sont succulents et préparés avec amour et attention.
À notre retour nous avons réservé un autre séjour pour l automne prochain sans hésitation.

J'avais invité ma filleule à Québec pour quelques jours. En parcourant les avis des voyageurs nous avons été impressionnées par les éloges à propos de la propriétaire Sophie, sa chaleur, ses bons conseils, sa courtoisie. Ce qui s'est avéré fondé! La localisation de l'hôtel pres de la rue Cartier et du Musée des Beaux Arts de Québec était parfaite. A 20 minutes à pied du Château Frontenac et du Vieux Québec.Et aussi près des Plaines d'Abraham. L'hôtel est dans une maison ancestrale rénovée avec goût et les chambres que nous avons eues étaient plus que spacieuses, ainsi que les salles de bains, tout en ayant conservé leur cachet. Je vous recommande les petits déjeuners variés et complets, avec cappuccino! Une cuisine est à la disposition des voyageurs. Pour les familles, un loft à l'entresol est un avantage indéniable! Nous sommes unanimes: nous reviendrons à la première occasion. Le Widor est devenu notre adresse de choix. Un grand merci à Sophie, notre hôtesse. .
