The folks I interacted with were authentic and compassionate....such a wonderful flavour of the area....would recommend this place HIGHLY!

We had an excellent, fun and memorable experience staying at Mon Petit Chum for 2 nights with our family; to attend a wedding. Dawn was so wonderful, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. She was always accessible and very thoughtful. Her breakfasts were so delicious, with great choices of gourmet sandwiches. It really did feel like home away from home :) Thank you again very much Dawn, you made our stay with you extra special. It was wonderful to meet you!

A lovely B&B - the upstairs rooms of a classic quebecois house, very quaint decor but also outfitting with AC. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of choice and modifications available to suit picky children. Very friendly and helpful host who clearly cares greatly about the guest experience and understands the joys and challenges of travelling with children.

Dawn was really friendly. The breakfast was super good seriously best sandwich ever. We will come back for sure !

SO sad it's up for sale because I can't imagine anyone could ever be such an incredible hostess as Dawn the present owner. Such a well deserved move after 20 years of exceptional customer and community service but REALLY big shoes to fill. The food is fantastic and I find it highly unlikely anyone could top her hollandaise sauce! Beautiful themed rooms, clean, comfortable, air conditioned, perfect location within walking distance of so many wonderful restaurants,shops, walking trails, swimming, horse back riding, mountain biking, so many adventures! I hope i get to go back before it changes hands and if not I hope the new owners could even half fill Dawns shoes.

Dawn the owner of Le Pitit Chum is amazing. She allowed us to get in our room early to get ready for our daughter’s wedding. She is very friendly and courteous. The room was perfect and the breakfast sandwiches were delicious. Also the price for the room was very reasonable. If your looking for a place to stay in Wakefield that is close to the main strip I would highly recommend Le Petit Chum.

A night light in the bathroom might be an inexpensive way to improve the stay for guests.....and two face cloths for two people, please. Those are tiny, tiny things - overall the B&B was great, breakfast was amazing, and Dawn was the very best of hosts! :) :)

Dawn made sure every detail of our stay was arranged and even added some cute decor for our birthday visit and accommodated gluten free, vegan and toddler dietary needs! It was our third stay at Mon Petite Chum and we’ve enjoyed it every time. The room decor is simple and charming and very walkable to many Wakefield amenities.

Dawn and her B&B were wonderful. Perfect location and her breakfasts were top notch! My husband and I were very comfortable there and would return.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mon Petit Chum B&B in Wakefield. The location is perfect, we could walk everywhere. The choices for breakfast were amazing! I would go back just to try another of the choices. I wish we had booked 2 nights instead of 1. Next time!

My daughter and I stay here at least twice a year. We absolutely love the space, and the host! We can easily walk around the village to shops and restaurants.

Dawn is lovely, she personally greeted my upon arrival and checked several times on me via texts during my 2 days stay. She makes you homemade breakfast too ! Room was lovely and nicely located close to the hospital where I worked. At a walking distance from the river, the wooden bridge and several restaurants. Will come back.

We really enjoy our stay at mon petit chum bed and breakfast. Nicely located, everything is from a walking distance. Our host was "formidable". Her breakfast was delicious. She really take good care of her guest. Would love to book a second stay in her beautifull place. She even made a restaurants reservation. So nice from her.

Great location. Walking distance to Vorlage ski hill, cross country skiing and restaurants.Good amenities including an outdoor fireplace. Hostess is so welcoming and will go out of her way to make you feel welcome. Also package deals with restaurants in Wakefield. Highly recommended. Dawn is the absolute best! We stayed with her for my husband’s birthday to get away for a couple of days. She made him a special breakfast including mimosas! She had balloons in the room and booked a dinner reservation at an amazing restaurant. We just wanted to chill for the weekend but she was willing to book the Nordik spa for us and had so many other suggestions! This is the place to go - book now!!

Auberge de Mon Petit Chum is a top notch bed and breakfast. Fantastic rates, comfortable and equipped suite, and gourmet breakfast all make this our # 1 place to stay when we are in the Wakefield Que. area. Dawn is a gracious hostess, and really goes the extra mile to ensure you have everything you need. We travelled with our 6 year old this time, and Dawn ensured there were children’s movies and popcorn in the suite, which was a fantastic touch that we really appreciated. Her food is mouth watering, and the bed was very comfortable. We would recommend anyone stay there when in Wakefield. You will be well taken care of, that is a promise! We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night's stay at l'Auberge Mon Petit Chum. Dawn was a very organized, friendly and helpful host. We stayed in the Burnside room, which was well appointed with antique furnishings and all the amenities we would want or need. We appreciated the little added touches like chocolates on the pillows and a Keurig machine with milk/cream in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious and hearty, and Dawn was amazing about accommodating my dietary restrictions, without compromising at all on quality and creativity. The auberge was just a short (5-minute) walk into the village for dinner. Overall we were very impressed with this B & B and would happily return another time.

Dawn, the proprietor is an absolutely wonderful and welcoming person. The room was lovely (even the couch was comfy for napping). Breakfast was delicious. We had no complaints other than we did not get the chance to see the lovely surrounding village (100% our fault). We will definitely return again

We stayed in the Burnside suite which was super comfortable and very cute. Dawn was the sweetest and so eager to help provide the optimal experience, and her breakfast menu still has me in awe. I look forward to staying here in the future.

We greatly appreciated the owner's policy of not allowing pets in the guest rooms as we have severe allergic asthma in the family and we find it hard to find somewhere to feel safe. Dawn was so attentive and ready to help with any questions and also that extra level of care that we needed!

This is the 4th time we stay here and everything went as planned. Warm welcome, nice and clean rooms, AC, Cable TV and apps available to guests, clean bathrooms, great gourmet breakfasts. The owner's presence is permanent and always welcome. Dawn is always there to help and give you advice. We loved this last experience and we'll come back many times.

It is a wonderful little B&B in a cute, quaint area, with many delightful amenities nearby. Lovely, quiet, great for outdoor activities, excellent food there and at the nearby restaurants, so close to Ottawa and to Gatineau Park. Dawn was an amazing host, so friendly, not intrusive, and very attentive. The breakfast sandwiches were wonderful.

La propriétaire est exceptionnelle! Le service à la clientèle m’a impressionnée, elle pense à chaque détail, l’endroit est chaleureux et le choix des déjeuners est très variés, des burritos fait maison, des mini muffins, du yogourt .. le tout dans une boîte avec un petit mémo écrit à la main à chaque matin, voilà ce que vous attends ❤️

We also loved the location. Highly recommend and we will definitely stay again when we need a home away from home in Wakefield.

Five stars all around for Dawn and Mon Petite Chum. The charm of the home and host would bring us back there any time we visit Wakefield. We had both the Burnside and Blacksheep rooms for a two night stay for three people, and it was perfect for us. The space is clean and comfortable, in a lovely area to walk along the riverside, and has lots of amenities to make it feel like home. Breakfasts are a winner too!

Dawn really checked every box. I mentioned that our stay was an anniversary celebration and she went above and beyond to make the stay extra special. Breakfast was fantastic and on time to the minute. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Can’t say enough about how we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was especially delicious. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were in town for a wedding, but are thinking of returning because we enjoyed our stay so much!

Dawn was responsive to our emails and answered all our questions in a helpful way before and during our stay. The Burnside Suite is quaint and cozy with a country-style charm. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The walls between the suites are a bit thin, but we have no complaints. We were lucky that the guests next door were quiet and hopefully we were quiet enough for them. If you want a contained space, the Burnside Suite is perfect. It has a bedroom, its own bathroom and another room that acts as a living room/dining area. You can't beat the location! It was easy to walk anywhere in the village. Dawn brought our breakfast up to our room so we could enjoy eating it in the privacy of our own space. The food was delicious. Dawn was the perfect host—very accommodating. She was available when we needed her but not intrusive in any way. Our stay at Auberge de mon petit chum couldn't have been more enjoyable. It's easy to recommend this B&B.

My partner and I were in Wakefield for a professional development event. We chose this bed and breakfast due to its central location in Wakefield and proximity to local shops (bakery, bar, restaurant) and attractions (walking/run path, ski hills). Despite our unusual hours (late arrival, early mornings), Dawn, the owner, was keen to accommodate us and to make sure we were settled. As a small-business owner for more than a decade (possibly more?), she is well-connected in her community and is able to make interesting recommendations. We didn't have the chance to enjoy any of her recommendations, but if you happen to be interested in some of the other businesses in town, she might be able to inform you about events/deals/promotions. Lastly, this review would be incomplete if her breakfasts weren't mentioned: they are as good as the other reviews say! They are made with locally-sourced products (we recognized breads from the bakery down the street), and packed conveniently in lunch boxes, so you can pack them with you if you're on a schedule and need to eat on the road. Of course, we would come back for the location and the quality of the service, but if you're hesitating between different lodging options in town, the breakfasts really set this one apart. Don't underestimate how a good breakfast, paired with a warm "Good morning!", sets you up for a good day.

I suddenly, due to the death of a loved one, had to be in Wakefield. The location of Mon Petit Chum was perfect. Dawn was so empathetic, generously kind and an amazing host that helped me feel right at home. I just love the rustic charm of this place, the care and attention to the art and furniture. It was tranquil and cozy. The bed was outstandingly comfortable. I felt I was coming home if that makes sense. There is no way to describe the beauty and friendliness of this quaint BnB and the town itself.

Dawn is an amazing host! From start to finish, she ensures that your stay is as comfortable as possible. She ensures that you have all the amenities you may require as well as ensure that breakfast is provided to you at the time agreed upon. The food is gourmet and the added touches are most welcome! Since it was my birthday, Dawn provided Mimosas with breakfast. Dawn is easy to get ahold of and goes out of her way for her guests. The room was immaculate, the bed and bedding were dreamy! The bathroom was spotless. The common area was clean. The other guests were respectful of space and sound.
